Hello every one, it's been a while since I posted up any interesting news. I've been a pretty busy guy this year, but I'd like to take a moment to tell you about a new service I've recently launched. It is a new tool for finding a motorcycle for sale in your area, which uses some of the same principle technology as grouprider. So, without further ado, check it out!
Spring is almost here, everyone! I've seen a lot more people starting to use this site over the last week, so it looks like everyone is finally starting to ride again. I myself plan to be taking my bike out of storage this weekend (finally).
If you're one of the winter-hibernators, remember to take it easy during the first few weeks while you're still rusty and there's still a lot of sand on the ground.
In other news, a few people had asked about linking to groupridernd if there were any banners they could use. In response, I just made a couple of banners which you can use. Check out the link to grouprider page for a few banners along with code snippets which can link directly to your GR profile or to the GR home page. You put the banners in your forum signatures, your blogs, myspace page, or personal website.
Well, that's all for this update, folks. Keep the rubber side down!
The new personal photo gallery system is here! It's a total re-write from the old
(crappy) one. I really brought out the big guns for this one. The new system is
loaded with AJAX and various Web 2.0 goodness. Perhaps the coolest new feature
is the new in-photo tagging ability. Now, you can actually tag individual users
in your photos, and their names will show up below the photo. When someone
moves their mouse cursor over their name, it will highlight them inside the photo -
cool, right?! And you can now also view every photo where a certain user has been tagged.
I haven't upgraded the group photos to the new system yet because I'm really short on time,
but it will be happening in the near future. I also plan to retro-fit other parts of the
site with more Web 2.0/AJAX type of functionality to bring it up to date with the
"Web 2.0 revolution."
Anyhow, as always, there may be bugs in the new system as there's a ton of new code, so,
let me know if something ain't working right.
